The award winning 2 rosette stunning Peacock Room restaurant requires a Head Chef to join their team.

The Restaurant:

  • Currently 2 rosettes
  • Glamourous dining room
  • Incredible wine, spirit & cocktail selection

The Role:

  • Hands on Head Chef Role
  • Developing team skills
  • Menu Development
  • Managing a team of up to 6

Salary £25000 – £27000 dependant on experience

The Suitable Person:

  • Experienced as Senior Sous / Head Chef in the 2 rosette or award winning restaurants
  • Experience in running 2 rosette Restaurants
  • Strong self-starter
  • Team Player
  • The drive and ambition to succeed
  • Strong financial understanding, able to work within budget

Shifts will include evenings and weekends

The Peacock Room is one of the most popular Restaurants in the area, boasting a 100 cover 2 rosette fine dining restaurant. The venue as well as popular with diners is also becoming an exclusive wedding venue.

Deckers Hospitality Group is a family run hospitality business with a varied collection of properties, all individual with their own distinct personalities. The current portfolio consists of The Crimble Complex with the Conservatory and Peacock Room Restaurants, The Royal Toby Hotel, 53 bedrooms, two restaurants and conference and banqueting facilities and the Pennine Manor Hotel, 31 bedrooms, restaurants and function facilities. Deckers also provide all their own meat products via their own dedicated butchery.

Sales / Operations Assistant – Wholesale Head Office, Rochdale

A Fantastic opportunity has become available at Head Office as a Sales/operations assistant within the wholesale division.

Monday – Friday (40hrs per week) although some Saturday’s may be involved depending on business needs

The main duties would be :

  • Order Processing / Confirmation
  • Maximising sales opportunities – checking pallet configurations, upselling, cross selling
  • Monitoring customer volume tracker – investigating lapsed orders, flagging to sales team
  • Booking in stock
  • Credits / Returns
  • Invoicing
  • Master Price files on Opera
  • Customer Service – all queries
  • Stock ordering – raising purchase orders
  • Stock rotation
  • Short Dated stock clearance

The right person will be IT literate, have excellent communication skills both verbal and written and have the ability to work within a small team and always be customer focused.

Butchery Apprentice – The Deckers Group Butchery

An amazing opportunity has arisen to learn a trade for life – Butchery.

Although not for everyone, if you can learn the trade of butchery you will have a good chance of always being employed as well as being on many short skill immigration lists around the world.  We are looking for a committed apprentice who wants to invest in their future.  This really is a rare opportunity to learn a trade and earn at the same time.

The role has early starts, but early finishes and some Saturday working.  You will study Meat & Poultry (Level 2) Apprenticeship through day release in Leeds (funding for travel provided).

If you can show a positive attitude and work ethic, an understanding of what is involved as well as being a team player then this could be the right opportunity for you.

Pay is negotiable but we pay above government apprentice rates.
